Product Description
The DJI Matrice 5TD is the multi-sensor dock drone of the DJI Dock 4 system. It combines a wide-angle camera, a medium tele camera, a 252 mm tele camera, a high-resolution thermal camera, a laser rangefinder and full-color night vision in one gimbal, so one aircraft can cover daytime inspection, night security, search and rescue and mapping from the same dock. It is operated remotely through DJI FlightHub 2 and the DJI Enterprise app, with the DJI O4 Ground Station providing video transmission and RTK.
Six Imaging Modules in One Aircraft
The 50MP 1/0.98-inch wide-angle camera, 50MP 70 mm medium tele camera and 50MP 252 mm tele camera can read license plates from 400 m and spot pin-level defects on power lines from 100 m. The 1280 × 1024 thermal camera has four times the pixels of the previous generation and reaches 2560 × 2048 in UHR mode, visible and thermal images can be fused in one frame, and full-color 4K night vision works without a spotlight. The laser rangefinder measures up to 3000 m and overlays distance and coordinates on the live view. With 12MP mapping capture, aerial triangulation accuracy reaches 10 cm.
Built-In LiDAR and mmWave Radar
A rotating LiDAR, forward, upward and downward mmWave radars and six low-light fisheye vision sensors give the Matrice 5TD wire-level obstacle sensing, including in substations full of live equipment and at night. Built-in ADS-B and Remote ID receivers warn of nearby crewed aircraft and drones, and the aircraft descends and returns to the dock when wind speed exceeds safe limits.
Fast Turnaround With the DJI Dock 4
After landing, the DJI Dock 4 swaps the DJI Matrice 5TD Battery in under 25 seconds and can relaunch the drone in under 45 seconds. During the swap, flight data is transferred to the dock over a high-speed Wi-Fi channel at up to 80MB/s. The aircraft can fly to a target at up to 21 m/s in FlyTo tasks, and the live view reaches DJI FlightHub 2 with about 160 ms latency. Dual built-in 4G modules and sub-2G transmission keep the link stable in difficult environments.
Payloads, AI and Safety
The Matrice 5TD carries up to 450 g on two side mounts and one top mount through the Matrice 5TD Accessory Mount, so the AS2D speaker, AL2D spotlight and AP1 parachute can be used together. Onboard AI detects 17 object types such as vehicles, boats, smoke and fire, supports thermal hotspot detection and third-party AI models, and works with FlightHub 2 alerts and automated workflows. A built-in custom warning light is standard.
