The DJI Matrice 5TD Battery is the Intelligent Flight Battery of the DJI Matrice 5TD dock drone. DJI lists it as a spare and replacement part with model number BPX340-12138-21.42, and the official DJI Dock 4 kit includes four of them. Extra batteries keep the dock's swap compartments filled and give the system more backup power.
Built for Battery Swapping
When the Matrice 5TD lands, the DJI Dock 4 swaps its battery in under 25 seconds and the drone can take off again in under 45 seconds. The dock has four battery compartments and can hold up to three batteries at a time, charging two in parallel. In the compartment, a battery charges from 15% to 95% in about 27 minutes at 25° C.
Long Flight Time
With 12138 mAh and 260 Wh, one battery powers up to 59 minutes of forward flight or 55 minutes of hovering on the Matrice 5TD, so a single sortie can cover more patrol points and inspection routes.
Ready for Hot and Cold Sites
The battery has the same operating temperature range as the aircraft, -40° to 50° C. In the cold it heats itself and keeps its temperature, and the dock preheats batteries before charging. Charging takes place between 10° and 55° C.
Backup Power for the Dock
Batteries in the compartment also act as backup power for the DJI Dock 4. If mains power fails, each battery can keep the dock running for about 4.5 hours, and with at least two batteries in the dock it can continue swapping batteries to keep missions going.
